4MParted 21.0 BETA released.

4MParted 21.0

4MParted is a very small live CD designed for disk partitioning. It's a part of 4MRescueKit, which in turn is one of the three main 4MLinux releases available for download.
This version includes GParted 0.26.1 and it uses 4MLinux 21.0 as the base system.

BakAndImgCD is an official 4MLinux fork, which has been designed to perform the following two tasks: data backup (the supported filesystems are: btrfs, ext2, ext3, ext4, f2fs, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, nilfs2, ntfs, reiser4, reiserfs, and xfs) and disk imaging (using Partimage, Partclone, and GNU ddrescue). This release is based on the 4MLinux Backup Scripts 21.0.

4MLinux 20.2 released.

MuCommander in 4MLinux 20.2

This is a minor maintenance release in the 4MLinux STABLE channelThe release ships with the Linux kernel 4.4.39. Additionally, some popular programs (Audacious, Chromium, Dropbox, Firefox, LibreOffice, MuCommander, Opera, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Wine) have been updated, too. This is the first 4MLinux live CD that includes the Broadcom proprietary WiFi driver (aka "wl driver").

You can update your 4MLinux by executing the "zk update" command in your terminal (fully automatic process).

4MLinux 20.1 released.

This is a minor maintenance release in the 4MLinux STABLE channelThe release ships with the Linux kernel 4.4.34, which restores PAE support that "magically" disappeared in 4MLinux 20.0 (sorry :-). Additionally, some popular programs (Double Commander, Dropbox, Firefox, Java RE, Opera, PeaZip, Thunderbird, Wine) have been updated, too.

Please note that 4MLinux can be run as a semi-rolling distro (no need to install it from scratch again and  again). Just execute the "zk update" command in your terminal to update your 4MLinux to its latest stable version (20.1). This is a fully automatic process.

4MLinux 21.0 BETA released.

4MLinux 21.0 BETA is ready for testing. Basically, at this stage of development, 4MLinux BETA has the same features as 4MLinux STABLE, but it provides a huge number of updated packages, including a major change in the core of the system, which now uses the GNU C Library 2.24. 

Development plan:
November 2016 -> beta
March 2017 -> stable
July 2017 -> old stable
November 2017 -> EOL
